    Project Summary

Our general goal is to improve the accuracy and robustness of processes associated with printing and imaging systems (including printers, copiers, scanners). Printing processes include color electrophotographic (EP)  or xerographic process, and  media handling. i

Past research include robust control of tone reproduction curves and Bayesian Belief Network modeling and diagnosis of xeroxgraphic process. Current research aims toward control of image quality of color xerographic systems in the face of general and specifc disturbances and system uncertainties. This involves development of innovative sensing, monitoring and control methodologies that take into account the special characteristics of color printing systems and their disturbances.
