Jimi by Himself - The Home Recordings

This cd is only available with the book "Voodoo Child: The Illustrated Legend of Jimi Hendrix". Both the cd and the book are great.

The book is a highly-sophisticated comic-book-type story of jimi's life. The art work is superb, and I usually don't like Jimi-Art.

The cd is just Jimi sitting in his apartment with his guitar and a tape recorder. During Gypsy Eyes you can hear the phone ring in the background. These are early versions of some great songs. I suppose Jimi is just trying to get them down to remember and work on them.
