Title: Natural convection in a porous medium

Abstract

• Through a novel experimental technique, Rayleigh-Benard convection in a porous medium will be investigated further into the unsteady convective regime than ever before. Although fundamental in nature, this work has a wide range of applications in many areas, including geophysical phenomena (geothermal energy, nuclear waste containment, etc).
