Research

Research interests are primarily in the area of aerosol science and technology. Aerosols are two-phase systems consisting of small (less than 100 m) solid or liquid particles suspended in a gas. They are important in a variety of disciplines and applications, including contamination control in microelectronics manufacturing, air pollution, gas cleaning, industrial hygiene, respiratory protection devices, and atmospheric sciences.

Current research interests include the electrical properties of aerosol particles, filtration and contamination control studies, inertial impaction, deposition aerosol transport, measurement and sampling, and aerosol charging and charge measurement methods.
