Research interests are in fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and thermodynamics. Current studies cover a number of problems in natural convection and forced convection as well as the interaction of jets and mainstreams. Specific projects presently under way include thermal convection in enclosures, impingement heat transfer, film cooling, heat transfer augmentation, separated flows, wall jet phenomena, application of mass transfer analogies, flow and heat transfer in pressure die castings, and the development of heat transfer/temperature instrumentation, including optical techniques and microsensors. |
