Research interests include plasmas, nanoparticle synthesis and processing, nanoparticle-based manufacturing, and nucleation theory. Current projects include synthesis of nanocomposite films using hypersonic plasma particle deposition; fabrication of micropatterns using focused nanoparticle beams; coating nanoparticle surfaces by photo-assisted chemical vapor deposition; synthesis of nanoparticle-coated silicon nanowires; and numerical modeling of nanodusty plasmas.
