Mr. Roman graduated from the Univesity of Wisconsin in 1972 with a Bachelor's degree, and in 1973 with a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Upon graduation, Mr. Roman joined 3M as a project engineer in the Printing Products Division. Since then, he has held a number of positions in engineering, manufacturing, international and process R&D.

Engineering experiences include management of scope, funding, design and installation of process equipment for 3M products. Manufacturing experiences include process engineering and production management responsibilities. The international experience involved a Foreign Service assignment as an engineering manager for 3M Italy. The process R&D role involved management of an injection molding and polymer processing lab.

Mr. Roman's current assignment is Engineering Director for teams of project engineers, mechanical design engineers and process control system engineers. He has been an Engineering Director since 2006.
