The new 6,000-square-foot home of the Thomas E. Murphy Engine Research Lab opened in fall 2013, and is located near the east bank campus at 2811 Weeks Avenue SE, Minneapolis, MN 55414.
This lab features two transient double-ended dynamometer test cells equipped with state-of-the-art instruments and control systems. This enables us to expand our research to include alternative fuels, drive-cycle testing and fundamental combustion research.
A significant investment was made into our new facility to ensure that the University of Minnesota remains among the top U.S. universities for engines, combustion, fuels, and emissions research.
