Atmospheric Aerosol Research-Radiative Transfer

Our research on radiative transfer uses measured aerosol properties (you might put a button here to link back to atmospheric aerosol properties) to create a "model" of the atmospheric aerosol.  This model describes aerosol water content, the manner in which various species are mixed within individual particles, and relevant physical/chemical properties of the particles including density, refractive index, etc.  Aerosol optical properties such as scattering coefficient or species' scattering efficiencies can be calculated from this model.
