PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Every semester, mechanical engineering TAs have commitments that require them to invest in their professional development. These commitments, which need to be completed by the last day of classes, include:

  1. Peer Observation
  2. Development Activity
Once BOTH of these commitments have been completed, submit the report below. Only one form needs to be submitted since it covers both commitments.

Reporting Form

Commitment:  Have a peer observe your teaching. Report the date of observation and the name of the TA who observed you.

Be sure to read the observation instructions prior to observing. The worksheet is provided to help you take notes. Note that both your peer observation and development activity must be completed prior to reporting it via the form listed above.

Commitment:  Will complete and report on one TA professional development activity before the last day of classes.

The Center for Educational Innovation (CEI) offers numerous types of activities that will fulfill this commitment. Below are links to some of them. Remember that both your peer observation and development activity must be completed prior to reporting it via the form listed above.
