ME2011 TOOL KIT

ver: 2-sep-08

Every engineer needs a set of tools, useful for completing assignments and projects that entail hands-on construction. With a tool kit you can build your design anywhere, including your home or dorm room. Here is the tool kit you must have for ME 2011. It is sold through the UMN Bookstore as a required "textbook" for the course.

You may already own tools, in which case you are free to purchase on your own just what you need to make up the complete set. You will be using many of the tools in some of the lab sessions and a (small) part of your course grade will depend on whether you show up for class with the tools required for the lab.

All items in the tool kit are from Elextronix Express (www.elexp.com/). The table below shows the Elextronix Express part number so you can go look it up on their web site to see what it is. Some of the descriptions may be linked to instructions on how to use the tool.
