ME Alumn, Padraic"Pat" McGuire, (BME 1981) has received the Alumni Service Award for his dedicated service to the University, the College of Science and Education and the Department of Mechanical Engineering.
Professor Anil Bajaj (PhD 1981) has been named Head of Mechanical Engineering at Purdue.
Professor Jayathi Murthy (PhD 1984) will take the position of Chair of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Texas, Austin in January 2012.
Dr. Parviz Moin, BME 1974, was named to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, 2010, one of the nations oldest and most prestigious societies. Dr. Moin is currently the Franklin P. and Caroline M. Johnson Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Stanford University.
